Regarding Our Online Shop Closure
After a long period of consideration, we have decided to close our online shops indefinitely. Our Closing Sale is on now, through September 22nd!
We first made this announcement across our social media platforms and via our newsletter about two months ago. Since then, we've been astounded and deeply moved by the outpouring of support and thoughtful messages from our community!
What started as a vague ambition to seek a means of self expression, while also connecting with a broader creative community, encouraged us to Embrace Our Eccentricity over five years ago as we launched our brand on October 1st, 2019. The closure of our online storefronts on September 22nd, 2025 is just shy of our 6th Anniversary!
We would like to take a moment to thank our Fulfillment Associates, friends who have provided invaluable support and have worked closely with us to ensure that packages were packaged, shipped, and delivered over the past two years. Their hard work, commitment, and attention to detail was crucial for our online shop's continued success.
We would also like to extend gratitude to our icons, for sharing their enduring creativity and positivity with us, and inspiring everyone to #embraceyoureccentricity!
Though it's a bittersweet moment, we've enjoyed countless opportunities to catch up one-on-one with so many of the amazing folks we've met at one time or another along our Small Business journey! We've also received a lot of questions about what this means for iconografi going forward.
A combination of internal and external factors lead to this decision, as we shift focus from maintaining our online storefronts 24/7, to a more relaxed format of occasional in-person events and pop-ups. We hope this new style of operation will blend more seamlessly with our current situation.
In announcing this as an "indefinite hiatus" for both iconografi.com and our Etsy storefront, we would like to keep open the possibility of resuming online sales someday.
Most importantly, we want to stress that this is not a goodbye for the brand!
So what's next!
Our activities with iconografi for the foreseeable future will be based primarily in and around Japan. You may notice more bilingual posting as well!
Amongst the many joys this experience has brought us, engaging with and supporting our community wherever we are - and having overwhelmingly positive interactions - really encourages us to keep doing what we do.
The iconografi.com website will continue to be live for now, as an archive but also as a space for any future information and announcements. Our Etsy will be placed on Vacation Mode.
